CAM is a growing division with many enthusiastic senior and junior scholars involved in research, teaching, and/or policy work related to youth and media. Most CAM members see each other once a year at the annual conference of the ICA. But what are CAM members doing throughout the year? In what projects are they involved? And what are some of the challenges and achievements they’ve come across in their career?
CAMmer in the Spotlight is an interview series set up to bring CAM members closer together. Bimonthly, a CAM member is asked a few questions about his or her work and experiences as a CAM scholar, so other CAMmers can get to know this person and their work a little better. Who will be interviewed? That depends on the interviewees, because each interviewee decides which CAMmer is put in the spotlight next.
This month’s CAMmer in the Spotlight presents the works and thoughts of Drew Cingel. Drew is an Assistant Professor at UC Davis. His research covers an array of topics including media and morality, well-being, and parent-child communication. Read more about his work in this month’s interview!
The next CAMmer in the Spotlight will be Nancy Jennings.
